Being 100% Organic ensures Jutemaster is totall biodegradable as well as a faster and easier product to apply, as there are no synthetic covering or coarse components to "catch" during the laying down procedure.
Jutemaster is manufactured in two types:
- Jutemaster Fine Matt(FM)
- Jutemaster Thick Matt(TM)

Jutemaster Fine Matt has been designed especially to promote grass establishment by allowing vegetation to grow through it. On steep slope situations, Jutemaster FM protects the earth surface against rainfall erosion, thereby allowing grasses to establish necessary root structures to permanently bind the slope surface.
During this process, Jutemaster FM provides a complete surface covering, leaving no open spaces susceptible to further erosion. Above all, unlike other Geotextile products, Jutemaster FM becomes very flexible when wet. It therefore takes on a ground hugging quality.

Jutemaster Thick Mat is highly recommended as a weed barrier, by stopping vegetation growth. Its densely matted characteristic, again 100% jute, suppresses unwanted broadleaf weed growth, as well as most narrowleaf plants.
Because Jutemaster allows both air and water to be passed unimpeded through its construction, it enables the soil beneath it to "breathe", promoting growth of desired plants yet, reducing water evaporation and in turn eliminating excess watering needs. The inherent colour of jute provides a natural looking appearance which compliments the desired plantings.

No synthetic materials in any form are used in the construction of Jutemaster
Field tests conducted by the Soil Conservation Research Branch of the Queensland Department of Primary Industries show that when the soil surface was protected with Jutemaster, more than 90% of rainfall penetrated the soil surface and was retained in the soil, especially on steep slopes resulting in less run-off water and more water for plant growth.
